Juan Diego García- Castro is Professor of Social Psychology at the Universidad de Costa Rica. He received his PhD from Granada University in 2020, where he focused on the psychosocial effects of the perception of economic inequality in everyday life. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centro de Estudios de Conflicto y Cohesión Social (COES), in Chile. His main research areas also include intolerance towards inequality, attitudes towards redistribution, ideologies, and the fear of crime.

Anna-Lena Hönig will chair this colloquium. She is a postdoctoral researcher at the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality" at the University of Konstanz. Before joining the University of Konstanz, she completed her PhD at the University of Mannheim. She was a member of the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS) and the Research School on Peace and Conflict at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO).
