A warm welcome
Before starting your studies, there's a lot to prepare: pay the semester fees, find a place to live, get your student ID and the Studi-Ticket for public transportation, and more. When should you arrive to Konstanz?
The winter semester usually begins mid October - our prep courses and introduction week usually start earlier. We warmly invite you to take part in our introduction and orientation programmes. Getting started: More information for first year students in each programme.
International degree-seeking students
We warmly recommend to join the International Office's orientation programmes. The colleagues and tutors will take care of all formalities and bureaucratic procedures with you, show you around the campus and explain how universities in Germany work. Plus: you get to know your fellow students and have to opportunity to learn some German.
