Service

We cannot promise good grades, but a good service helping you on the way to it. We have high expectations on your performance, and you can expect the same from us. From October 1, 2017 and during lecture periods we commit ourselves to the following:

1. Course material is uploaded no later than one week prior to lectures/tutorials.
    
2. Marcel Fischer publishes his course evaluations after removing hand-written comments to preserve anonymity (please note that course evaluations with co-teachers may not be published).
    
3. Exams are graded with high priority and grades are reported to study administration within four weeks. In the past, we were typically faster and aim at continuing at that speed.
    
4. When taking a seminar at our chair you are assigned to a supervisor that you can contact if need be. In addition you can submit an outline no later than four weeks before the submission deadline to get a brief feedback whether you are on a good way. Shortly after the seminar, we invite all participants to individual meetings to provide detailed feedback on their work and suggestions for further improvements in future work.
    
5. We offer a social event to all students participating in our courses every semester. In past semesters, we have, among others, been to the beer garden, the Christmas Market, playing soccer, playing frisbee, and had a barbeque.

If we should verifiably violate one of the above items, we are grateful for a hint to chair-of-finance@uni.kn. All violations against the promised items are published here.

Violations against our service committment: In summer term 2020 to winter term 2022/2023, we did not host a social event to support the worldwide efforts in fighting the Corona virus.

The above list of teaching evaluations is complete in the sense that it publishes all teaching evaluations that Marcel Fischer received. It is not complete in the sense that it contains an overview over all courses taught in past semesters, since (1) evaluations for coureses with co-teachers may not be published and (2) not all courses were evaluated.
